GITA 2008 - South Boundary

Ok, I'm not really one for organized rides, or even slightly organized rides (except for the odd race here and there) - but my friend Carrie and her boyfriend Anthony were in town for the annual GITA git-together and I caved. (GITA=gaspin' in the aspens [cute]). There were 10 of us that did the SBT via Valle Escondido, FR 50A, Elliot Barker and finally to the SBT. A pretty fun and long day - mostly due to the size of the group which is always hard to keep a good pace when you get big. Multiple flats, a wayward biker and a paparazzi amount of cameras also didn't help the pace. All was good though, a perfect day with some really cool folks
